A model for deferred view maintenance

Proceedings. IDEAS'99. International Database Engineering and Applications Symposium (Cat. No.PR00265), 2003
Presents a model for deferred maintenance of object-oriented views. Queries that define views are implemented as methods that are invoked to compute the corresponding views. A deferred update reflects to a view only those related modifications that were introduced into the database while that view was inactive.

Maintenance optimization models and criteria

International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management, 2010
Due to widespread automation and the high capital tied up in production equipment, the importance of maintenance is ever increasing. This makes maintenance an investment opportunity to be optimized, not a cost to be minimized. Academics have recognized this and many maintenance optimization models have been published over the years.

Maintenance Models for a Repairable System

Economic Quality Control, 2004
Summary: Most maintenance models assume perfect maintenance, where a system becomes as good as new after each maintenance action. However, in reality system's performance deteriorates over time. This work investigates a system's performance when subjected to failures which are imperfectly repaired.

Modeling and system maintenance

1995
This paper reports on recent work and directions in modern software architectures and their formal models with respect to software maintenance. The focus on maintenance attacks the most costly and frustrating aspect in dealing with large-scale software systems: keeping them up-to-date and responsive to user needs in changing environments.

Competence Models and the Maintenance Problem

Computational Intelligence, 2001
Case‐based reasoning (CBR) systems solve problems by retrieving and adapting the solutions to similar problems that have been stored previously as a case base of individual problem solving episodes or cases. The maintenance problem refers to the problem of how to optimize the performance of a CBR system during its operational lifetime.

A model for assembly program maintenance

Journal of Software Maintenance: Research and Practice, 1990
AbstractThis paper presents a model for understanding assembly programs for software maintenance. It is based on the theory that explicit representation of various structural and functional elements of code and multiple relationships among them will aid program understanding and thus software maintenance.

Model-Based Testing and Maintenance

IEEE Sixth International Symposium on Multimedia Software Engineering, 2005
This paper presents a semantic software development model (SSDM) for object-oriented software. It organizes all the information generated during the software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.

Towards a business maintenance model

Proceedings IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance. ICSM 2001, 2002
In this paper, we present our suggestion for a business maintenance model. We call it "Corrective Maintenance Maturity Model" (CM/sup 3/). In contrast to other process models, it is a specialised model, entirely dedicated to only corrective software maintenance.
