Longitudinal Awake Mouse Brain Imaging Using Functional Ultrasound and Functional Ultrasound Localization Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Awake longitudinal multimodal ultrasound imaging integrates functional ultrasound (fUS), ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM), and functional ULM (fULM) to characterize cerebrovascular function, microvascular architecture, and flow dynamics within the same animals over time.

Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio associated with an increased risk of mortality in patients with critical limb ischemia.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
PurposeAssociation of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) with mortality has not been comprehensively explored in critical limb ischemia (CLI) patients.

Inhibition of MEKK3 Prevents Cerebral Cavernous Malformation Progression Via Restoring Endothelial Integrity and Restricting Microglial Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we demonstrate that aberrant MEKK3 signaling in endothelial cells and microglia drives the progression of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs). Furthermore, we identify DPDH as a potent small‐molecule MEKK3 inhibitor with substantial therapeutic potential for CCM treatment.

Impact of high on-treatment platelet reactivity after angioplasty in patients with peripheral arterial disease

open access: yesPlatelets, 2021
Objective: High on-treatment platelet reactivity (HTPR) to dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) predicts adverse events in coronary artery disease patients. In peripheral artery disease (PAD) patients, data concerning the clinical impact of HTPR are limited.

Fuyuan Huoxue Decoction Promotes Lumbar Interbody Fusion in Rats: Role of Macrophage‐Driven Inflammation and the TLR9/NF‐κB Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fuyuan Huoxue decoction improves lumbar interbody fusion in rats while reducing inflammatory macrophage activity and supporting bone‐forming stem cells. Experiments implicate extracellular DNA and TLR9/NF‐κB signaling in early responses. These findings point to coordinated control of inflammation and osteogenesis as a potential route to stronger spinal

A Novel NR3C1 Frameshift Variant Associated With Familial Glucocorticoid Resistance Syndrome: An Integrated Analysis of Steroid Profiling and Structural Modeling

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glucocorticoid resistance syndrome (GRS) is a rare hereditary disorder caused by pathogenic variants in NR3C1, characterized by marked phenotypic heterogeneity and frequent misdiagnosis as primary aldosteronism or subclinical Cushing's syndrome.

Prognostic Impact of Interleukin-27 in Peripheral Artery Disease

open access: yesLife
Atherosclerosis is a progressive arterial disease characterized by chronic inflammation, with interleukin-27 (IL-27) implicated as both a pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokine. This prospective cohort study evaluated association of circulating IL-27 levels
