ON THE ROBUSTNESS OF MAJORITY RULE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Economic Association, 2008
We show that simple majority rule satisfies five standard and attractive axioms - the Pareto property, anonymity, neutrality, independence of irrelevant alternatives, and (generic) decisiveness - over a larger class of preference domains than (essentially) any other voting rule. Hence, in this sense, it is the most robust voting rule.

Efficiency of Majority Rule and create equilibrium between majority and minority shareholders. [PDF]

open access: yesFaṣlnāmah-i Pizhūhish-i Huqūq-i Khuṣūṣī, 2019
In stock companies, the adoption of the rule of the majority and making decisions on this basis are rooted in political thoughts; however, the sustainability of this rule depends on economic analysis.

On the Complexity of Stable and Biased Majority

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
A majority automata is a two-state cellular automata, where each cell updates its state according to the most represented state in its neighborhood. A question that naturally arises in the study of these dynamical systems asks whether there exists an ...

Divergence and consensus in majority rule [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2021
We investigate majority rule dynamics in a population with two classes of people, each with two opinion states $\pm 1$, and with tunable interactions between people in different classes. In an update, a randomly selected group adopts the majority opinion if all group members belong to the same class; if not, majority rule is applied with probability $ε$

Majority-Rule Supertrees [PDF]

open access: yesSystematic Biology, 2007
Most supertree methods proposed to date are essentially ad hoc, rather than designed with particular properties in mind. Although the supertree problem remains difficult, one promising avenue is to develop from better understood consensus methods to the more general supertree setting.

A note on the consensus time of mean-field majority-rule dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesPapers in Physics, 2009
In this work, it is pointed out that in the mean-field version of majority-rule opinion dynamics the dependence of the consensus time on the population size exhibits two regimes.

FACES: A Deep-Learning-Based Parametric Model to Improve Rosacea Diagnoses

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that causes visible blood vessels and redness on the nose, chin, cheeks, and forehead. However, visual assessment, the current standard method used to identify rosacea, is often subjective among clinicians ...
