On Types of Responsiveness in the Theory of Voting
In mathematics, monotonicity is used to denote the nature of the connection between variables. Hence for example, a variable is said to be a monotonically increasing function of another variable if an increase in the value of the latter is always ...

Voting procedures from the perspective of theory of neural networks
It is shown that voting procedure in any authority can be treated as Hopfield neural network analogue. It was revealed that weight coefficients of neural network which has discrete outputs −1 and 1 can be replaced by coefficients of a discrete set (−1, 0,

Improved Voting Algorithm Based on K-truss for Influence Maximization Problem [PDF]
In the Influence Maximization(IM) problem of social networks, approximation algorithms are used to calculate the impact range of node sets via a significant amount of Monte-Carlo simulations, thus resulting in an increase in time complexity. Most ...

Trading Votes for Votes. A Dynamic Theory [PDF]
We develop a framework to study the dynamics of vote trading over multiple binary issues. We prove that there always exists a stable allocation of votes that is reachable in a finite number of trades, for any number of voters and issues, any separable preference profile, and any restrictions on the coalitions that may form.

The theory of straight ticket voting
AbstractThis paper explores the effects of the straight-ticket voting option (STVO) on the positions of politicians. STVO, present in some US states, allows voters to select one party for all partisan elections listed on the ballot, as opposed to filling out each office individually.
