All‐PEG‐Like Block Copolymers Self‐Assemble into Stealth Nanocarriers for Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Self‐assembling nanoparticles composed entirely of POEGMA are engineered by exploiting side‐chain–dependent amphiphilicity and tunable thermoresponsive behavior. These single‐material nanocarriers encapsulate diverse hydrophobic drugs with high efficiency, retain therapeutic activity, improve in vivo efficacy, and evade anti‐PEG antibodies.

ACSL1‐Dependent Microglial Lipoimmunometabolic Reprogramming Underlies Cognitive Deficits in Alcohol Use Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that chronic alcohol exposure selectively upregulates ACSL1 expression in prefrontal cortical microglia, driving lipid metabolism reprogramming and lipid droplet accumulation, which activates the NLRP3 inflammasome and sustains neuroinflammation. To reverse this process, a dual‐targeted lipid nanoparticle, siACSL1@LNP‐MR, is designed

Noninvasive tests for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in a multi‐ethnic population: The HELIUS study

open access: yesHepatology Communications, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is increasing in prevalence and severity globally, prompting noninvasive testing, yet limited data exist on noninvasive liver tests (NITs) including transient elastography (TE) in ethnically diverse populations.

El sufrimiento y el perdón. Aportes levinasianos

open access: yesHumanidades, 2017
Este artículo tiene como objeto situar y problematizar lo que es para mí uno de los temas más importantes de nuestro tiempo: el sufrimiento, entendido como mal, y el perdón, como recurrencia al Bien.

Endogenous Amplification of Apoptosis via p53 Regulation using a Cascade Nanocatalytic Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An engineered MOF nanomedicine (MAL) triggers cascade nanocatalysis in tumors, converting H2O2 and L‐Arg into cytotoxic peroxynitrite. This induces DNA damage, activates the p53 pathway, and amplifies mitochondrial apoptosis via the BAX/Bcl‐2/Caspase‐3 axis, effectively inhibiting colorectal cancer growth with high biocompatibility.

Inhibiting cGAS‐STING to Preserve Mitochondrial–Nuclear Communication and Stemness in Young Tendon Stem Cells: A Hydrogel Strategy against Age‐Related Tendinopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐targeting strategy to rejuvenate aged tendons. A reactive oxygen species (ROS)‐responsive hydrogel co‐delivers a selenium nanozyme (scavenges ROS) and a STING inhibitor to tendon stem cells. This combined action restores mitochondria–nucleus communication, alleviates cellular senescence, and rejuvenates tendon regeneration, offering a novel ...

Mal absoluto, mal radical, banalidad del mal. La comprensión del mal en Hannah Arendt

open access: yesBajo Palabra, 2019
The aim of this article is to provide a panoramic exposition of Hannah Arendt’s thought about the issue of evil. In order to achieve this task, I will pose briefly Kant’s approach of ‘radical evil’, which had an enormous relevance for Arendt. Then, I will point out the stance held by her in The Origins of Totalitarianism and later to explain the way ...
