Glycolytic reprograming in Salmonella counters NOX2-mediated dissipation of ΔpH. [PDF]
The microbial adaptations to the respiratory burst remain poorly understood, and establishing how the NADPH oxidase (NOX2) kills microbes has proven elusive. Here we demonstrate that NOX2 collapses the ΔpH of intracellular Salmonella Typhimurium.

ABSTRACT Phosphate (Pi) is an essential macronutrient for plant development that is often limited in soil. Plants have evolved dynamic biochemical, physiological and morphological adaptations to cope with Pi deficiency, known as the Pi starvation response (PSR).

Transcript correlation analysis allowed the identification of several key nodes in the complex regulatory network of plant iron metabolism. Abstract Arabidopsis thaliana was the first plant genome to be fully sequenced, almost a quarter of a century ago, thanks to The Arabidopsis Genome Initiative, with contributions from scientists worldwide.

Knock‐down of a xylem‐localized citrate transporter, FRDL1, reduces foliar iron concentrations and leaf symptoms under excess ferrous iron stress in rice. Abstract Iron (Fe) toxicity is a common agricultural problem that limits rice yield in various regions of Southeast Asia and Africa.

Purification, characterization and partial cDNA cloning of high-temperature stress-induced protein from French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) [PDF]
In order to identify the components of high temperature response in French bean, three heat shock proteins induced under high temperature were purified to homogeneity by Carboxy methyl cellulose and sephadex G-100 chromatography followed by preparative ...

Abstract There is a category of large‐scale neuromusculoskeletal injuries that result in long‐term functional disabilities, and one such injury is volumetric muscle loss (VML) injury. In addition to the clinical outcomes related to long‐term dysfunction, co‐morbidities and reduced mobility and physical activity, this review addresses several ...
