, 2020 In this study, the Flora of Malatya has been studied. 3816 plant specimens were collected from the research area between 2012-2015 and at the end of this it was determined that 20.75 species, belonging to 107 families, 586 genera were found.437 (% 21,1) of the total species are endemic in Malatya province.

, 2019 53 Lichen species which were collected from 7 localities in Orduzu region of Malatya were determined. This is the only study carried out in the region so far. The species Psora globifera (Ach.) Massal., Staurothele rugulosa (Massal.) Arnold and Toninia toniniana (Massal.) Zahlbr. are new records for Turkey.
