Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

Pest Identification Guide: Melon Thrips, Thrips palmi Karny

open access: yesEDIS, 2016
Melon thrips transmits Calla lily chlorotic spot virus (CCSV), Groundnut bud necrosis virus (GBNV), Melon yellow spot virus (MYSV), Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), and Watermelon silver mottle virus (WSMoV). This species is primarily a foliage feeder (

[Cavernous malformations].

open access: yesDer Radiologe, 2008
Cavernomas of the CNS may involve brain parenchyma as well as the spinal cord and belong to those cerebrovascular malformations that have no arteriovenous shunt and thus are generally angiographically occult. Contrary to computed tomography (CT), which is generally suited to reveal calcifications or acute bleeding, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Salvaging A Hopeless Tooth: Intentional Replantation To Rescues Lateral Incisor

open access: yesInternational Dental Journal
Introduction: Intentional replantation (IR) was used to successfully treat a maxillary lateral incisor (#22) that had failed periodontal therapy and conventional endodontic retreatment because to deep palatogingival groove and chronic apical ...

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

A rare case of bilateral double incisors; Early orthodontic management

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2021
A safe and suitable approach in the treatment of unusual malformed anterior maxillary teeth would be to accept a birooted fused incisor as two central teeth by moving it across the midpalatal suture and improve the frontal esthetics.
