Neoadjuvant Glucocorticoids Facilitate Resection in Advanced B‐Type Thymomas: A Propensity‐Matched Analysis of Surgical and Survival Outcomes

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2026.
Neoadjuvant glucocorticoids facilitated less invasive and more complete resection of advanced B‐type thymomas, leading to reduced operative morbidity and improved progression‐free survival compared to upfront surgery. This study supports a novel downstaging strategy for this challenging disease.

Multiple Primary Lung Cancer With Driver Gene Mutations: Is Targeted Therapy Always the Optimal Choice?—A Case Report

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 1, January 2026.
Targeted therapy is effective in driver‐mutated lung cancer but limited in MPLC. In this case, the EGFR L858R‐mutated dominant lesion responded to osimertinib while others progressed, as the molecular profiles of all lesions could not be fully characterized initially.

EUS‐Guided Versus Percutaneous Transhepatic Drainage of Liver Abscesses: A Multicenter Endohepatology Study in Western Japan (EPIC‐LA Study)

open access: yesDigestive Endoscopy, Volume 38, Issue 1, January 2026.
The aim of this multicenter, retrospective study was to compare clinical outcomes of percutaneous transhepatic liver abscess drainage (PTAD) and endoscopic ultrasound‐guided liver abscess drainage (EUS‐LAD). After a propensity score‐matched analysis, the clinical success rate was significantly higher in the EUS‐LAD group, and adverse events were ...

Imaging Diagnosis—Peritoneal Splenosis in a Dog: Computed Tomographic Findings

open access: yesVeterinary Radiology &Ultrasound, Volume 67, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This report describes a case of peritoneal splenosis in a dog, identified following the discovery of multiple peritoneal nodules on computed tomography (CT) performed for the evaluation of a compressive myelopathy. Histopathologic analysis confirmed the presence of ectopic splenic tissue without evidence of malignancy.
