Reversibly Cross‐Linked Polyamide 6 Using 1‐(5‐(Aminoethyl)‐2‐nitrophenyl)Ethanol as Photolabile Cross‐Linker

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
This exploratory study investigates the reversible cross‐linking of polyamide 6 by the photolabile cross‐linker 1‐(5‐(Aminoethyl)‐2‐nitrophenyl)ethanol (PXL). The storage modulus of the material increases with increasing PXL content and decreases when the exposure time of the samples is increased.

Iron-mediated Preparation of Vinylcyclopropanes. Scope, Mechanism, and Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The addition of stabilized carbon nucleophiles to tricarbonyl(1-methoxycarbonylpentadienyl)iron(1+) cation (1a) proceeds via attack at C2 on the face of the ligand opposite the Fe(CO)3 group to generate tricarbonyl(pentenediyl)iron complexes 2. Oxidation

Neotetrazolium salt (NT) as an electron acceptor in living cell: a study on the JTC-3 and HeLa cells in culture [PDF]

open access: yes, 1965
1. By using a monolayer of tissue culture cells, JTC-3, JTC-3', JTC-3" and HeLa cells, the assays of neotetrazolium (NT) reduction at the cell level have been conducted on the cells without detaching the cells from the culture glass vessel wall.

Facile and Practical Synthesis of Substituted Piperidine‐2,6‐Diones Under Transition‐Metal Free Condition

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
KOtBu‐promoted facile and practical synthesis of various substituted piperidine‐2,6‐diones between methyl acetates and acrylamides via a Michael addition/intramolecular imidation cascade sequence has been disclosed. And reaction scale‐up, further transformation of representative products, and preparation of bioactive molecules (e. g.

Strategies in Ericaceae to acquire phosphorus in phosphorus‐impoverished habitats in the southwest Australian biodiversity hotspot

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract In the Southwest Australian Biodiversity Hotspot, the greatest plant species diversity tends to occur on the most phosphorus (P)‐impoverished soils. Many plant species in this P‐impoverished environment release root carboxylates that mobilise soil P which is a more ...

Adsorption and desorption dynamics of citric acid anions in soil [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The functional role of organic acid anions (e.g. citrate, oxalate, malonate, etc) in soil has been intensively investigated with special focus either on (i) microbial respiration and soil carbon dynamics, (ii) nutrient solubilization, or (iii) metal ...
