MAML is a Noisy Contrastive Learner in Classification

open access: yes, 2021
Model-agnostic meta-learning (MAML) is one of the most popular and widely adopted meta-learning algorithms, achieving remarkable success in various learning problems. Yet, with the unique design of nested inner-loop and outer-loop updates, which govern the task-specific and meta-model-centric learning, respectively, the underlying learning objective of

Natural Products Targeting Notch Signaling in Cancer: Mechanistic Insights and Food‐Based Chemoprevention Potential

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
The Notch signaling pathway plays a dual role in cancer, acting as both a tumor promoter and suppressor depending on cellular context. This review highlights how natural products modulate Notch signaling to inhibit tumor initiation, progression, angiogenesis, and cancer stem cell maintenance.

GenDT-MAML: A Data-Efficient Framework for Personalized Seizure Prediction Using Generative Digital Twins and MAML

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society
Personalized seizure prediction from wearable EEG is challenging because new patients typically provide only a few labeled pre-ictal windows, while prediction models must operate under the computational limits of edge devices. This paper introduces GenDT-

BI-MAML: Balanced Incremental Approach for Meta Learning

open access: yes, 2020
We present a novel Balanced Incremental Model Agnostic Meta Learning system (BI-MAML) for learning multiple tasks. Our method implements a meta-update rule to incrementally adapt its model to new tasks without forgetting old tasks. Such a capability is not possible in current state-of-the-art MAML approaches.

Multi‐Agent Reinforcement Learning Framework for Optimizing Smart Cities as System of Systems

open access: yesSystems Engineering, Volume 29, Issue 1, Page 3-19, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a novel framework for optimizing smart cities as System of Systems (SoS) by integrating Multi‐Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL) with traditional systems engineering methodologies. Constituent systems–modeled as agents across domains such as transportation, energy, public safety, and communication, operate autonomously ...
