3D Analysis of Mandibular and Glenoid Fossa Responses to Bone‐Anchored Maxillary Protraction in Patients With UCLP

open access: yesOrthodontics &Craniofacial Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Bone‐anchored maxillary protraction (BAMP) has been increasingly used to correct midface deficiency and Class III malocclusion in patients with unilateral cleft lip and palate (UCLP). However, its three‐dimensional (3D) effects on the mandible remain insufficiently explored.

Sensor-Based Vibration Signal Feature Extraction Using an Improved Composite Dictionary Matching Pursuit Algorithm

open access: yesSensors, 2014
This paper presents a new method for a composite dictionary matching pursuit algorithm, which is applied to vibration sensor signal feature extraction and fault diagnosis of a gearbox. Three advantages are highlighted in the new method.

Metabolic Reprogramming of a Phenolic Acid by a Plant P450 Monooxygenase Reverses Bacterial Immunosuppression

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Ralstonia solanacearum suppresses P450 activity to block VA‐to‐VanA conversion, leading to VA accumulation and compromised immunity. ABSTRACT Soil acidification often exacerbates plant diseases caused by soil‐borne pathogens like Ralstonia solanacearum, but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. This study unveils a sophisticated metabolic

Transporter-mediated depletion of extracellular proline directly contributes to plant pattern-triggered immunity against a bacterial pathogen

open access: yesNature Communications
Plants possess cell surface-localized immune receptors that detect microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs) and initiate defenses that provide effective resistance against microbial pathogens.

The mutualistic fungus Piriformospora indica colonizes Arabidopsis roots by inducing an endoplasmic reticulum stress-triggered caspase-dependent cell death [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In Arabidopsis thaliana roots, the mutualistic fungus Piriformospora indica initially colonizes living cells, which die as the colonization proceeds. We aimed to clarify the molecular basis of this colonization-associated cell death.

CRISPR/Cas‐Mediated Gene Editing in Plant Immunity and Its Potential for the Future Development of Fungal, Oomycete, and Bacterial Pathogen‐Resistant Pulse Crops

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 7, Page 3573-3585, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Pulses provide myriad health benefits and are advantageous in an environmental context as a result of their leguminous nature. However, phytopathogenic fungi, oomycetes and bacteria pose a substantial threat to pulse production, at times leading to crop failure.

Chemical treatment rescues reduced growth of the autoimmune mutant chs3‐2D without compromising its immune responses

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
We generated a compound by chemical modification that can efficiently rescue growth without decreasing the immune response of the chs3‐2D autoimmune mutants, thus chemically uncoupling its growth–defence trade‐off. Abstract Plant development in many species including Arabidopsis relies on the accurate balance between growth and defence.

Amino Acid Sequence of Bacterial Microbe-Associated Molecular Pattern flg22 Is Required for Virulence

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2008
Flagellin proteins derived from Pseudomonas syringae pv. tabaci 6605 and flg22Pa (QRLSTGSRINSAKDDAAGLQIA), one of the microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMP) in bacterial flagellin, induce cell death and growth inhibition in Arabidopsis thaliana. To
