HOLISMIN MANAGERIAL DECISION MAKING

open access: yesÖneri Dergisi, 2020
The paper mirrors the rising maturity of systems thought and Systems language in managerial decision-makiiig or problem management. It is based upon the assumption that building blocks of reality are not parts but ivholes—systems in which ill-structured and systemic problems having social and behavioral aspects and interdependeiicy cannot be worked out

Tumbling Magnetic Microrobots for Targeted In Vivo Drug Delivery in the GI Tract

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We introduce a microrobot design and integrated system for on‐demand targeted drug release in the gastrointestinal tract. The microrobot has an embedded magnet for actuation with external magnetic fields and is visualized in real time using ultrasound. It has two drug release ports sealed with a thermally sensitive wax. Local heating of the wax using a

Managerial Decision Making Under Uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sports Economics, 2014
We consider managerial decision making by examining the impact of decisions taken by cricket captains on Twenty20 International (T20I) match outcomes. In particular, we examine whether pressure from external commentators is associated with suboptimal decision making by captains. Using data from over 300 T20I matches, we find little evidence that either

Intravital Multimodal Imaging of Human Cortical Organoid Transplantation in a Mouse Model of Chronic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal intravital imaging platform enables longitudinal tracking of human cortical organoids transplanted into chronic stroke lesions. By combining surgical microscopy, MRI, bioluminescence imaging, and two‐photon fluorescence microscopy, the platform captures graft placement, viability dynamics, and cellular‐scale morphology in vivo, offering a ...

Adult Sex Ratio as a Demographic Feedback Linking Mating Systems, Parental Care, and Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Breeding systems are some of the most diverse social behavior, and our team is investigation the evolutionary causes of this diversity. This review summarises our research carried out at the University of Bath. We argue that demographic components of wild populations, especially the adult sex ratio, plays a key role driving breeding system variation ...

Multimodal Imaging Reveals Rapid Catecholamine Uptake and Release by Neutrophils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We show that immune cells (neutrophils) synthesize, uptake, and store catecholamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine or adrenaline. They also release them in response to specific stimuli (serotonin), which we directly visualize using fluorescent nanosensors. We further demonstrate that catecholamines affect neutrophil functions (NETosis) and platelet

An exciting Approach to Theoretical Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Theoretical spectroscopy, and more generally, electronic‐structure theory, are powerful concepts for describing the complex many‐body interactions in materials. They cover methods from ground‐state properties to lattice excitations and light‐matter interaction, including time‐resolved variants.

The Impact of Managerial Decision-Making on Employee Motivation in Manufacturing Companies

open access: yesJournal of Competitiveness, 2020
In terms of competition, manufacturing companies are focusing more and more on employee performance as well as motivation, the latter of which seems to be a prerequisite for the long-term performance of employees and thus the sustainable success of the ...

Autoantigen mRNA‐LNP Vaccination Drives Therapeutic Efficacy in Preclinical Models for Autoimmunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Systemic and intramuscular delivery of autoantigen mRNA via lipid nanoparticles reprograms antigen‐presenting cells toward a mature, homeostatic state, driving antigen‐specific T cell exhaustion and providing therapeutic efficacy across autoimmune disease models.
