Tracking a Maneuvering Target using AUV

open access: diamondInternational Journal of Engineering and Advanced Technology, 2019
In this paper effort is made to track a maneuvering target using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with range, bearing and elevation measurements. Extended Kalman filter is preferred to processmeasurements tampered with noise. Algorithm to detect the maneuver of target is developed in this paper.

Transformer-Based Maneuvering Target Tracking

open access: yesSensors, 2022
When tracking maneuvering targets, recurrent neural networks (RNNs), especially long short-term memory (LSTM) networks, are widely applied to sequentially capture the motion states of targets from observations. However, LSTMs can only extract features of trajectories stepwise; thus, their modeling of maneuvering motion lacks globality.

Impact-Angle and Terminal-Maneuvering-Acceleration Constrained Guidance against Maneuvering Target [PDF]

open access: yesAerospace, 2021
A new, highly constrained guidance law is proposed against a maneuvering target while satisfying both impact angle and terminal acceleration constraints. Here, the impact angle constraint is addressed by solving an optimal guidance problem in which the target’s maneuvering acceleration is time-varying. To deal with the terminal acceleration constraint,

Maneuvering Target Track Prediction Model

open access: yesInternational Journal on Cybernetics & Informatics, 2015
The issues about maneuvering target track prediction were discussed in this paper. Firstly, using Kalman filter which based on current statistical model describes the state of maneuvering target motion, thereby analyzing time range of the target maneuvering occurred. Then, predict the target trajectory in real time by the improved gray prediction model.

Adaptive tracking of maneuvering targets

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1968
The requirements of a track-while-scan radar data processing scheme are stated from the point of view of the evader in a pursuit-evasion game. The rules of the game, determined in part by the nature of the pursuer's weapons, are such that the evader must be able to discriminate reliably between straight-line and maneuvering pursuer motion.

Maneuvering Target Tracking with ESM Sensor

open access: yesAdvances in Intelligent Systems Research, 2014
This paper addresses the maneuvering target tracking with a single ESM sensor where only the bearing and elevation measurements are available and used for the target trajectory estimation. In single ESM tracking system the maneuvers of observer platform are required for the observability.

Bearings only target tracking - maneuvering target

open access: yes, 1984
The estimation of the position and velocity of a target moving in a two- dimensional frame is studied in this paper. The estimator is a Kalman filter which processes noisy bearings of the target gathered by the tracker. The case of maneuvering targets is examined and a solution using a variable value of the system's noise covariance matrix is ...

The Tracking Algorithms for Non-maneuvering Target and Maneuvering Target

2012 Fifth International Symposium on Computational Intelligence and Design, 2012
The most commonly used methods of target tracking in the linear system is Least Square Filtering, Kalman filtering and Interacting Multiple Model(IMM). in this article, we use Least Square Algorithm and the Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) to study the tracking of non-maneuvering target and maneuvering target.

Maneuvering frequency adaptive algorithm of maneuvering target tracking

2013 Fourth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing (ICICIP), 2013
The current statistical model is one of most effective method for maneuvering target tracking. It's the mean acceleration model and it reflects the variation of target's maneuvering rang and the intensity more practically . However, the frequency of maneuvering α , which represents the variation of target maneuvering, needs to be predefined and it won ...

Target tracking in maneuver centered coordinates

Proceedings of the 1988 IEEE National Radar Conference, 1989
Aircraft targets normally maneuver on circular paths which has led to tracking filters based on circular turns. The authors introduce a new coordinate system to track circular maneuvers with a simple Kalman filter. When the maneuver is detected the tracker switches to a polar coordinate system located at the center of the maneuver.
