Cooperative Merging in Mixed Traffic Based on Strategic Influence of Connected Automated Vehicles on Human‐Driven Vehicle Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study proposes an optimization‐based cooperative merging strategy for connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) in mixed traffic. By leveraging the strategic influence of CAVs on human‐driven vehicles (HDVs), the method reduces uncertainties in HDV behavior and improves traffic flow, achieving up to 31% reduction in average travel time delay ...

UltRAP‐Net: Reverse Approximation of Tissue Properties in Ultrasound Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study proposes a reverse approximation neural network (UltRAP‐Net) to extract underlying physics‐aware properties using multiple images with distinct appearances obtained at the same location of tissues. Through this robust approximation, the study advances the use of ultrasound images by opening potentials for various applications such as physics‐
