Use of vinasse and sugarcane bagasse for the production of enzymes by lignocellulolytic fungi
In this present work, three strains of Pleurotus and Trichoderma reesei were cultivated in media with pre-treated bagasse and vinasse. Cellulolytic and lignolytic activities and biomass production were analyzed. The treatment of the bagasse with 2% H2O2 +

ABSTRACT Infected diabetic wounds are sustained by a vicious cycle of hyperglycemia‐driven bacterial infection, persistent oxidative stress, and excessive inflammation, which collectively disrupt the ordered progression of tissue repair. Here, we engineered a stage‐adaptive Janus microneedle patch (MN‐FeSAC‐PPE) to enable a staged therapeutic process ...

This study uncovers a previously unrecognized copper‐COMMD1‐SOD1 regulatory axis, revealing that pathological copper overload paradoxically suppresses SOD1 activity by promoting COMMD1‐dependent disruption of SOD1 homodimerization. These findings redefine the regulatory role of copper in SOD1 biology and provide novel mechanistic insight into the ...

ABSTRACT Coacervate droplets formed via liquid–liquid phase separation offer unique opportunities as microreactors and delivery vehicles due to their ability to selectively concentrate biomolecules and support biochemical reactions. However, their passive nature severely restricts precise spatial and temporal control, posing barriers to practical ...

In sepsis‐induced liver injury, marked neutrophil infiltration correlates with disease severity. Neutrophil SLC11A1 drives intracellular Fe2+ and ROS via the Fenton reaction, promoting NETs formation. Hepatocyte‐derived CXCL10 recruits neutrophils and activates the JAK/STAT1/SLC11A1 axis, enhancing NETs‐mediated inflammation.

3D structure prediction of lignolytic enzymes lignin peroxidase and manganese peroxidase based on homology modelling [PDF]
Lignolytic enzymes have great biotechnological value in biopulping, biobleaching, and bioremediation. Manganese peroxidase (EC 1:11:1:13) and lignin peroxidase (EC 1:11:1:14) are extracellular and hem-containing peroxidases that catalyze H2O2-dependent ...

Sterol engineering enables precise control of mRNA lipid nanoparticles by tuning membrane organization. Replacing cholesterol with bile acid‐derived sterols redirects protein expression from the liver to the spleen. Notably, CA‐20 LNP enhances antigen‐specific immune responses while exhibiting a favorable safety profile, highlighting sterols as a ...
