Magnetic Pseudoresonance in Manganite Thin Films

Applied Magnetic Resonance, 2014
A strong narrow peak in the field dependence of the radio-frequency absorption (the magnetic pseudoresonance) has been found and investigated in epitaxial thin films of La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 possessing uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in the film plane. The peak is observed when the in-plane external magnetic field H is directed perpendicular to the easy axis and

Homogeneous spectroscopic properties in manganite films

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2007
Abstract The correlation between topographic features and spectroscopic properties was studied by means of room-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy on single-crystalline fully strained La 0.77 Ca 0.23 MnO 3 films.

Magnetostriction in thin films of manganites and cobaltites

physica status solidi (a), 2004
Comparison of the magnetostriction effects in manganite and cobaltite thin films has been presented. The detailed analysis of the magnetostriction effects has been performed for epitaxial thin films with the same level of doping, namely on the La 0.67 Ca 0.33 MnO 3 and La 0.7 Sr 0.3 CoO 3 films grown using laser deposition on twins free substrates ...

Uniaxial Strain-Controlled Ground States in Manganite Films

Nano Letters, 2020
Strongly correlated perovskite oxides exhibit a plethera of intriguing phenomena and stimulate a great potential for multifunctional device applications. Utilizing tunable uniaxial strain, rather than biaxial or anisotropic strain, delivered from the crystallography of a single crystal substrate to modify the ground state of strongly correlated ...

Acoustic and acoustoelectric studies of manganite films

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2002
Abstract We report on acoustic and acoustoelectric (AE) studies of La 0.67 Ca 0.33 MnO 3 (LCMO) films deposited on a LiNbO 3 substrate. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) attenuation in the LCMO films has been measured at different sound frequencies in the wide temperature range. Our measurements confirm the hole-like conductivity in La 0.67 Ca 0.33 MnO 3

Phase separation in manganite thin films

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2008
Thin films of R1−xCaxMnO3 (R = La, Pr) manganites deposited on different substrates have been studied by micro-Raman spectroscopy. The macroscopic transport and magnetic properties of the films are affected by the structural changes and the strain effects, due to the different R and Ca (0.4≤x≤0.6) doping or epitaxial strains.

Effect of Interfacial Octahedral Behavior in Ultrathin Manganite Films

Nano Letters, 2014
We investigate structural coupling of the MnO6 octahedra across a film/substrate interface and the resultant changes of the physical properties of ultrathin La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 (LSMO) films. In order to isolate the effect of interfacial MnO6 octahedral behavior from that of epitaxial strain, LSMO films are grown on substrates with different symmetry and ...

Photoinduced Metal-to-Insulator Transition in a Manganite Thin Film

Physical Review Letters, 2008
A persistent photoinduced metal-to-insulator transition has been confirmed in a manganite thin film, Pr_(0.55)(Ca_(0.75)Sr_(0.25))_(0.45)MnO3, near a multicritical point by monitoring with transport measurements and x-ray photoemission spectroscopy. Together with the previously reported reverse effect, the photoinduced insulator-to-metal transition, it
