Magnetic and electron paramagnetic resonance studies of Ln0.5Ca0.5MnO3 (Ln = Pr, Bi) manganite
In this paper we compare the magnetic and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) properties of Pr0.5Ca0.5MnO3 (PCMO) and Bi0.5Ca0.5MnO3 (BCMO) charge ordered manganites. PCMO and BCMO samples were prepared by solid state reaction method.

Solitonic Phase in Manganites [PDF]
Whenever a symmetry in the ground state of a system is broken, topological defects will exist. These defects are essential for understanding phase transitions in low dimensional systems[1]. Excitingly in some unique condensed matter systems the defects are also the low energy electric charge excitations.

Theory of manganite superlattices [PDF]
A theoretical model is proposed for the (0,0,1) superlattice manganite system (LaMnO$_3$)$_n$(SrMnO$_3$)$_m$. The model includes the electron-electron, electron-phonon, and cooperative Jahn-Teller interactions. It is solved using a version of single-site the dynamical mean field approximation generalized to incorporate the cooperative Jahn-Teller ...

Resistive switching at manganite/manganite interfaces
We report bipolar resistive switching between the interfaces of manganite nanocolumns. La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 films were prepared on Al2O3 substrates, where the films grow in nanocolumns from the substrate to the surface. Conductive atomic force microscopy directly detects that the resistive switching is located at the boundaries of the grains.

Surface Nanostructures in Manganite Films [PDF]
Ultrathin manganite films are widely used as active electrodes in organic spintronic devices. In this study, a scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) investigation with atomic resolution revealed previously unknown surface features consisting of small non-stoichiometric islands.

Ferroelectricity in the multiferroic hexagonal manganites [PDF]
A combination of nonlinear optical experiments, piezoresponse force microscopy and Monte Carlo simulations resolves the correlation between polarization, topology and temperature for the hexagonal manganite YMnO3—a persistent ferroelectrics puzzle.
