Unsupervised Image Matching Based on Manifold Alignment

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2012
This paper challenges the issue of automatic matching between two image sets with similar intrinsic structures and different appearances, especially when there is no prior correspondence. An unsupervised manifold alignment framework is proposed to establish correspondence between data sets by a mapping function in the mutual embedding space.

Multi-view manifold learning with locality alignment

Pattern Recognition, 2018
Abstract Manifold learning aims to discover the low dimensional space where the input high dimensional data are embedded by preserving the geometric structure. Unfortunately, almost all the existing manifold learning methods were proposed under single view scenario, and they cannot be straightforwardly applied to multiple feature sets.

Semi-supervised manifold alignment with few correspondences

Neurocomputing, 2017
In recent years, manifold alignment methods have aroused a great of interest in the machine learning community which construct a common latent space shared by multiple input data sets. In a semi-supervised problem, it is assumed that some predetermined correspondences are available to us.

Feature matching based on unsupervised manifold alignment

Machine Vision and Applications, 2013
Feature-based methods for image registration frequently encounter the correspondence problem. In this paper, we formulate feature-based image registration as a manifold alignment problem, and present a novel matching method for finding the correspondences among different images containing the same object.
