ECG Classification Based on Wasserstein Scalar Curvature
Electrocardiograms (ECG) analysis is one of the most important ways to diagnose heart disease. This paper proposes an efficient ECG classification method based on Wasserstein scalar curvature to comprehend the connection between heart disease and the ...

Learning on dynamic statistical manifolds
Hyperbolic balance laws with uncertain (random) parameters and inputs are ubiquitous in science and engineering. Quantification of uncertainty in predictions derived from such laws, and reduction of predictive uncertainty via data assimilation, remain an open challenge.

Hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) is a widely used unsupervised learning method. Limitations of HCA, however, include imposing an artificial hierarchy onto non-hierarchical data and fixed two-way mergers at every level.

A New Thermodynamics from Nuclei to Stars
: Equilibrium statistics of Hamiltonian systems is correctly described by the microcanonical ensemble. Classically this is the manifold of all points in the N-body phase space with the given total energy.

Tensor Balancing on Statistical Manifold
We solve tensor balancing, rescaling an Nth order nonnegative tensor by multiplying N tensors of order N - 1 so that every fiber sums to one. This generalizes a fundamental process of matrix balancing used to compare matrices in a wide range of applications from biology to economics.

Similarity between a many-body quantum avalanche model and the ultrametric random matrix model
In the field of ergodicity-breaking phases, it has been recognized that quantum avalanches can destabilize many-body localization at a wide range of disorder strengths.

Bulk-boundary correspondence between charged, anyonic strings and vortices
We discuss a unified framework of dealing with electrically charged, anyonic vortices in 2+1 dimensional spacetimes and extended, anyonic string-like vortices in one higher dimension.

The classification of high-resolution (HR) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is of great importance for SAR scene interpretation and application. However, the presence of intricate spatial structural patterns and complex statistical nature makes SAR ...

Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

Advanced Manifold–Metric Pairs
This article presents a novel mathematical formalism for advanced manifold–metric pairs, enhancing the frameworks of geometry and topology. We construct various D-dimensional manifolds and their associated metric spaces using functional methods, with a ...
