3-dimensional Cauchy-Riemann structures and 2nd order ordinary differential equations
The equivalence problem for second order ODEs given modulo point transformations is solved in full analogy with the equivalence problem of nondegenerate 3-dimensional CR structures. This approach enables an analog of the Feffereman metrics to be defined.

Real‐time biosensing of Parkinson's disease biomarkers via NIR‐activated upconversion nanoparticles
Schematic illustration of the luminescence resonance energy transfer‐driven core‐shell‐shell UCNPs (cssUCNPs@Fluo4) nanoprobe for simultaneous monitoring of Ca²⁺‐temperature dynamics in Parkinson's disease models. Abstract Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with incompletely understood pathophysiology, necessitating ...

Twisted and Nontwisted Bifurcations Induced by Diffusion
We discuss a diffusively perturbed predator-prey system. Freedman and Wolkowicz showed that the corresponding ODE can have a periodic solution that bifurcates from a homoclinic loop.

Optimal model‐based design of experiments for parameter precision: Supercritical extraction case
Abstract This study investigates the process of chamomile oil extraction from flowers. A parameter‐distributed model consisting of a set of partial differential equations is used to describe the governing mass transfer phenomena in a cylindrical packed bed with solid chamomile particles under supercritical conditions using carbon dioxide as a solvent ...

Nonlocal aspects of $\lambda$-symmetries and ODEs reduction
A reduction method of ODEs not possessing Lie point symmetries makes use of the so called $\lambda$-symmetries (C. Muriel and J. L. Romero, \emph{IMA J. Appl. Math.} \textbf{66}, 111-125, 2001).

A‐optimal model‐based design of experiments for processes with uncertain inputs
Abstract Model‐based design of experiments (MBDoE) techniques are tools for selecting experimental conditions that enable accurate parameter estimation for mechanistic models. Most MBDoE approaches assume that the selected experimental conditions will be implemented perfectly, without uncertainties in the independent variables.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

An Introduction to Harmonic Manifolds and the Lichnerowicz Conjecture [PDF]
The title is self-explanatory. We aim to give an easy to read and self-contained introduction to the field of harmonic manifolds. Only basic knowledge of Riemannian geometry is required.

This review elucidates the velocity–dispersion–attenuation coupling mechanisms of wave propagation in rock masses, compares six representative models, and reveals how pressure, temperature, mineral composition, and anisotropy jointly control dynamic responses in complex geological media.

A non-perturbative approach to the time-averaging of nonlinear, autonomous ODE systems is developed based on invariant manifold methodology. The method is implemented computationally and applied to model problems arising in the mechanics of solids ...
