Characterisation of Drought and Wet Events in the Paraíba do Sul River Basin—Brazil

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Trend analysis identified statistically significant reductions in precipitation (at the 5% significance level) at specific pluviometric stations in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, while other areas, mainly in Minas Gerais, experienced significant increases in annual and seasonal rainfall, particularly during summer and spring. These significant trends at

Tropicalization of the Temperate Zone: Spatiotemporal Variability of Winter Warming and Declining Freeze Days Across the United States

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Unique characteristics of winter daily minimum (Tmin) and maximum (Tmax) temperatures and freeze days across the conterminous United States from 1952 to 2024 are examined. Results show spatial heterogeneity in Tmin/Tmax warming rates across the tropical‐temperate transition zone in the southeastern United States, and that the highest temperature on the

Homogeneity of Climate Aridity Index Trends Using Mann-Kendall Trend Test [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Korea Water Resources Association, 2014

Validated, Reliable, and Novel Skin Frailty Scale for Outpatient Usage and Its Association With Age, Sex, and Non‐Melanoma Skin Cancer: An Observational Study

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Skin frailty (SF) is a common condition affecting adults aged ≥65 years. However, the lack of a validated and reliable visual scale to assess SF severity is a barrier to clinical care and research. In this study, we developed a 9‐parameter Skin Frailty Score (SFS), validated by two board‐certified dermatologists and meeting item and scale level content

Weight‐bearing computed tomography reveals greater anterior tibial translation and femorotibial rotation than magnetic resonance imaging in chronic anterior cruciate ligament deficiency: A prospective observational study

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To compare anterior tibial translation and femorotibial rotation measurements obtained from conventional supine, non‐weight‐bearing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and weight‐bearing computed tomography (WBCT) in patients with chronic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears. Methods WBCT of the knee acquired in full extension and at 30°
