A New Species of Megaelosia from the Mantiqueira Range, Southeastern Brazil
Journal of Herpetology, 1998-A new species of frog of the genus Megaelosia is described. The new form closely resembles Megaelosia massarti and is distinguished from it by coloration pattern and number of chromosomes. Natural history notes, tadpole description, and a discussion on the conservation status of the new species are provided.
