Borrelia Infections Under B Cell‐Depleting Therapies: A Systematic Review of Diagnostic Challenges and Outcomes With Special Focus on Neurological Forms

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 1, January 2026.
Neurological infections caused by Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato and Borrelia miyamotoi are increasingly reported in patients receiving anti‐CD20 therapies and should be considered in cases presenting with neurological symptoms and cerebrospinal fluid pleocytosis.

Ubiquitination dynamics in human tumour viruses: Viral infection, oncogenesis and antiviral therapy

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 293, Issue 2, Page 325-347, January 2026.
The ubiquitin system is essential for cellular homeostasis and regulates many processes. Viruses, including oncogenic ones, exploit or evade this system to survive and replicate. This review explores how human tumour viruses manipulate the ubiquitination system to complete their life cycle, evade immunity and promote cancer.

Processing of DNA Topoisomerase II–DNA–Protein Crosslinks Associated With Anticancer Drugs

open access: yesGenes to Cells, Volume 31, Issue 1, January 2026.
Topoisomerase II (TOP2) relieving DNA torsional stress is trapped by TOP2 poisons, such as etoposide, inducing DNA double‐strand breaks (DSBs) bearing TOP2–DNA–protein crosslinks (TOP2–DPCs), which must be removed before DSB repair. This review summarizes the TOP2–DPC resolution processes mediated by multiple pathways, including proteolysis and ...

Relapsed Mantle Cell Lymphoma Presenting as “Sister Mary Joseph Nodule”

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2010
The finding of umbilical metastasis has historically been called a “Sister Mary Joseph Nodule”. A few case reports of lymphoma presenting in this manner have been documented. We report a case of relapsed mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) presenting as a Sister

Comparative Investigation of Cytotoxic Effects of Structurally Diverse Small Molecules and In Silico Analysis of 1‐Acetyl‐4‐(4‐Hydroxyphenyl)piperazine

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study assessed the anticancer activity of boron‐containing and structurally diverse small molecules in 4T1 breast cancer and Caco‐2 colon adenocarcinoma cells. Initial screening showed that five boronic acids lacked significant cytotoxicity, underscoring the structural specificity required for boron‐mediated bioactivity.

ANCA positive pauci-immune glomerulonephritis as presenting feature of mantle cell lymphoma: A case report and review of literature

open access: yesNefrología
Kidney involvement in mantle cell lymphoma is rare. We report a case of mantle cell lymphoma diagnosed after rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis with biopsy-proven paraneoplastic anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive pauci-immune cresentic ...
