Adsorptive removal of tetracycline from aqueous solution by maple leaf-derived biochar
Bioresource Technology, 2020The present study evaluates the physicochemical properties of maple leaf-derived biochars (M-BCs) produced at different pyrolytic temperatures (i.e., 350, 550, and 750 °C) and their adsorptive properties for tetracycline onto M-BCs.

The utilization of biomass waste has attracted much interest, but such attention hasn't been paid to the abundant fallen maple leaves in Canada. Herein, we aim to obtain cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) from maple leaves and explore their potential ...

We propose a new multilevel framework for large-scale placement called MAPLE that respects utilization constraints, handles movable macros and guides the transition between global and detailed placement. In this framework, optimization is adaptive to current placement conditions through a new density metric.

Microwave Processing of Maple Sap to Maple Syrup and Maple Syrup Products
Journal of Microwave Power and Electromagnetic Energy, 2001A study of the physical process of concentration of maple sap to maple syrup and preparation of maple syrup products by microwave heating is described. Duty cycles of 60, 75 and 100% were used for the microwave application. During the process, some of the drying kinetics are discussed, including the reduction of moisture content with time, the progress
