Electric vehicles diffusion: changing pavement acoustic design?

open access: yesNoise Mapping, 2021
Electric vehicles (EVs) are progressively entering into the current noisy urban ecosystem. Even though EVs are apparently quieter than traditional Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles (ICEVs), they have an impact on noise maps and road pavement designers ...

DReAM: Dynamic Re-arrangement of Address Mapping to Improve the Performance of DRAMs

open access: yes, 2015
The initial location of data in DRAMs is determined and controlled by the 'address-mapping' and even modern memory controllers use a fixed and run-time-agnostic address mapping.

Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

People exposed to traffic noise in european agglomerations from noise maps. A critical review

open access: yesNoise Mapping, 2014
Two of the main objectives of the European Directive on environmental noise are, firstly, to unify acoustic indices for assessing environmental noise and, secondly, to standardize assessment methodologies.

Exploiting ground effects for surface transport noise abatement

open access: yesNoise Mapping, 2016
Growing demand on transportation, road and railway networks has increased the risk of annoyance from these sources and the need to optimise noise mitigation.

Influence of meteorological conditions on noise dispersion in the Port of Thessaloniki

open access: yesNoise Mapping, 2020
Although noise dispersion models are widely used for the assessment of noise levels across different domains, the influence of meteorological conditions on environmental noise is usually neglected even though modelling requirements often list ...

Can sensor-based noise mapping be a proxy of PM and permeability mapping?

open access: yesNoise Mapping, 2021
In recent decades, road infrastructures have been the subject of numerous studies, aimed at ensuring reduced air and acoustic pollution. On the other hand, several studies showed that another important problem is dust load.

On a singular variety associated to a polynomial mapping

open access: yes, 2012
In the paper "Geometry of polynomial mapping at infinity via intersection homology" the second and third authors associated to a given polynomial mapping $F : \C^2 \to \C^2$ with nonvanishing jacobian a variety whose homology or intersection homology ...

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.
