LISTADO TAXONÓMICO DE COPÉPODOS (ARTHROPODA: CRUSTACEA) DEL MAR CARIBE COLOMBIANO

open access: yesBulletin of Marine and Coastal Research, 2016
In the Colombian Caribbean there are few studies on zooplankton that have explored their specific composition and the existing information is largely restricted to grey literature. Studies in other areas of the Caribbean show a high species richness of copepods, recording approximately 500 species. This paper presents a taxonomic list of 217 species of

Comprehensive Profiling of N6‐methyladnosine (m6A) Readouts Reveals Novel m6A Readers That Regulate Human Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 18, 27 March 2026.
This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.

MDP25‐VDAC3 Complex Orchestrates Actin Remodeling and Mitochondrial Dynamics to Modulate Innate Immunity in Arabidopsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
This study reveals that actin remodeling regulates mitochondrial elongation as a defense strategy in plants. Flagellin perception induces fusion‐dependent elongation, supported by cortical actin bundles, to repair damage and boost ATP and ROS production.

Dissecting Alzheimer's disease heritability across populations

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD) is highly heritable; however, its estimated incidence across populations remains unclear. METHODS We computed family‐based heritability leveraging Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project pedigrees from non‐Hispanic White (404 pedigrees), non‐Hispanic Black (13 pedigrees), Dominican (100 ...

A Preliminary Assessment of Noise‐Related Impacts From the Urban‐Invasive Johnstone's Whistling Frog (Eleutherodactylus johnstonei)

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 5, Issue 1, Page 104-114, March 2026.
The Johnstone's whistling frog is an invasive species whose loud night‐time calls may affect human health and well‐being. Our study in Cali, Colombia, combined fieldwork and online surveys to assess its urban occupancy, density, and potential health impacts.
