YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Estimating Semiparametric Panel Data Models by Marginal Integration [PDF]
We propose a new methodology for estimating semiparametric panel data models, with a primary focus on the nonparametric component. We eliminate individual effects using first differencing transformation and estimate the unknown function by marginal ...

ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

Marginal Effects and Significance Testing with Heckman’s Sample Selection Model: A Methodological Note [PDF]
This paper illustrates two techniques for calculating the statistical significance of the marginal effects derived from Heckman’s sample selection model,an increasingly common econometric specification in political science.

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Generating Correlated and/or Overdispersed Count Data: A SAS Implementation
Analysis of longitudinal count data has, for long, been done using a generalized linear mixed model (GLMM), in its Poisson-normal version, to account for correlation by specifying normal random effects.

Marginal Social Cost Pricing for all Transport modes and the effects of modal budget constraints [PDF]
This paper studies the order of magnitude of the pricing corrections that are needed to implement marginal social cost pricing for all transport modes. With the TRENEN model we study this question for 6 areas in the EU.

Tracking Motor Progression and Device‐Aided Therapy Eligibility in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To characterise the progression of motor symptoms and identify eligibility for device‐aided therapies in Parkinson's disease, using both the 5‐2‐1 criteria and a refined clinical definition, while examining differences across genetic subgroups.
