Fingerprinting of bed sediment in the Tay Estuary, Scotland: an environmental magnetism approach [PDF]
Sediment fingerprinting is commonly used for sediment provenance studies in lakes, rivers and reservoirs and on hillslopes and floodplains. This investigation explores the mixing of terrestrial and marine-derived sediment in the Tay Estuary, Scotland ...

Femtosecond‐Laser‐Induced Physical Unclonable Random Maze Structure for Storage‐Free Encryption
Femtosecond‐laser‐induced gold random maze structures serve as multimodal physical unclonable functions for storage‐free encryption. Their stochastic optical, electrical, and Raman responses are generated by plasmon‐assisted Marangoni formation and converted into AES‐compatible keys without permanent secret‐key storage, offering a portable route toward

This study introduces a biomimetic “nanofusion” platform that integrates the biostability of threose nucleic acids (TNA) with homotypic cell‐membrane cloaking to combat drug‐resistant TNBC. By leveraging a non‐canonical membrane‐fusion pathway for direct cytosolic delivery, the platform bypasses endosomal sequestration. To achieve potent AKT2 silencing

Sounding out horse mussel sediment thickness: an integrated data approach
Horse mussel beds are listed as a Priority Marine Feature (PMF) in Scotland for their influence in the creation of diverse benthic communities and provision of ecosystem services. In Scotland, horse mussel beds are also recognised for their importance in

Lipoic acid synthase (lias) can regulate α‐KG levels through lipoylation, thereby negatively regulating HIF‐1α protein levels via PHD under hypoixa. The Hap2 allele of lias exhibits lower expression levels than Hap1, leading to the accumulation of more HIF‐1α protein and thereby enhancing hypoxia tolerance. ABSTRACT Hypoxia stress seriously affects the

A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

An STI‐guided metagenomic association framework links soybean salt‐tolerance phenotypes with rhizosphere microbiome composition and network organization in natural saline soils. The approach identifies candidate beneficial taxa, including Thalassospira xiamenensis, and provides an efficient strategy for mining stress‐protective microbes from native ...

Assessment of Density Variations of Marine Sediments with Ocean and Sediment Depths
We analyze the density distribution of marine sediments using density samples taken from 716 drill sites of the Deep Sea Drilling Project (DSDP). The samples taken within the upper stratigraphic layer exhibit a prevailing trend of the decreasing density ...
