Performance and Environmental Impact of Flexible Temperature Sensors on Cellulose‐Based Substrate

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Toward low‐environmental‐impact approach to thin‐film sensors fabrication using natural ingredient‐based triacetyl cellulose (TAC) substrate. Temperature sensors are fabricated and characterized based on thermal and mechanical performance. Substrate recovery is demonstrated by facile dissolution of a Mo‐based sensor in deionized water.

Nickel‐Free Perovskite Solar Cells Enabled by Self‐Assembled Monolayers: A Pathway to Efficient and Recyclable Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Replacing toxic NiOx with phenyl‐substituted phosphonic‐acid carbazole monolayers (Ph‐5PACz) yields inverted perovskite solar cells that are efficient and recyclable. The nickel‐free interface reaches 25.3% efficiency and enables closed‐loop ITO recovery with near‐98% performance retention, while life‐cycle and techno‐economic analyses confirm lower ...

Palatability of geophyte underground storage organs partially explains their depth in the Cape Floristic Region, geophyte capital of the world

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 113, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract Premise The soil depth of underground storage organs (USOs) of geophytes involves cost–benefit trade‐offs and may relate to USO age, size, and disturbances such as fire and herbivory. Yet determinants of USO depth are poorly studied. We posit that belowground mammalian predation of USOs is a selective force for the positive relationship ...
