Abstract The application of automated ground vehicles (AGVs) is well‐established in closed environments such as port terminals, while their operation in open areas remains challenging. A digitalised Aids‐to‐Navigation monitoring system (ARMS) was deployed across 478 installations in the Strait of Malacca and Malaysian waters, integrating multi‐sensor edge validation, hybrid AIS/VHF/cellular communication, and a centralised platform. It achieved 98.3% availability and cut fault‐detection time from weeks to just 8.4 min.

ABSTRACT States and port authorities have implemented “Clean Truck” programs (CTPs) to encourage trucking companies to transition to newer, cleaner trucks to reduce the emissions around ports.
