Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.This study presents the first genomic identification and characterization of ZW sex chromosomes in two soft‐shelled turtle species through genome assembly and resequencing. We reveal the structural organization of ZW chromosomes, identifying both pseudoautosomal regions (PARs) and differentiated regions.
