Determination of search areas for maritime search and rescue operations
OCEAN 75 Conference, 1975A new technique for determining the search area for maritime search and rescue operations is presented. This technique, which is based on a statistical description of the uncertainties in determining the drift track of a life raft, offers significant improvement over current, deterministic techniques.

Target detection of maritime search and rescue: Saliency accumulation method
2012 9th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2012Target detection using visual image sequence is an important task of maritime search and rescue. A novel saliency accumulation approach is proposed. Each frame of image sequence is firstly transformed to LAB space. The saliency maps for two color channels and intensity channel are obtained by spectral residual in frequency domain and the local saliency

Vessel Location Modeling for Maritime Search and Rescue
2015The location-allocation problem serves to deploy assets effectively to respond to a known or estimated geographically distributed demand for service, including providing emergency services. At first glance, the rescue vessel location problem in the Search and Rescue (SAR) domain is similar to the emergency vehicle location problem such as for ambulance

Research on Maritime Search and Rescue Decision-Making Ontology Model
2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology, 2009The work of maritime search and rescue is involved with many areas. Accordingly, search and rescue decision-making systems need to deal with a wide range of information, which results in a large number of heterogeneous data. One common problem is the semantic heterogeneous.
