A Data Set for Airborne Maritime Surveillance Environments
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2019This paper presents a data set with surveillance imagery over the sea captured by a small size UAV. This data set presents the object examples ranging from cargo ships, small boats, life rafts to hydrocarbon slick. The video sequences were captured using different types of cameras, at different heights, and different perspectives.

System for maritime surveillance aid
Proceedings of SPIE, 1997A system to aid maritime surveillance is being studied to search for small floating objects like a life raft or to detect oil spill more reliably and efficiently. The system consists of sensors, an image processor and a display so as to reject unnecessary noise in the sea surface images, and then to detect and identify the objects to be searched.
