[Genetic markers of viral vaccines].
Annali Sclavo; rivista di microbiologia e di immunologia, 1981This paper deals with virus vaccines and their genetic markers. In particular we have examined four of the attenuated virus vaccines, now in widespread use, prepared in cell cultures, i.e. poliomyelitis, measles, mumps and rubella. The data reported could be of critical value for the evaluation of the safety and the prophylactic activity of the ...

The clinical and virological protection induced by an E2 sub-unit marker-vaccine against Classical Swine Fever (CSF) was examined during an experimental infection in vaccinated and non-vaccinated pigs. Forty-five pigs were equally distributed over three adjacent pens of an isolation unit, there was only indirect (airborne) contact between pigs in the ...

IBV genotype QX causes sufficient disease in Europe for several commercial companies to have started developing live attenuated vaccines. Here, one of those vaccines (L1148) was fully consensus sequenced alongside its progenitor field strain (1148-A) to determine vaccine markers, thereby enabling detection on farms.

MARKER VACCINE FOR CLASSICAL SWINE FEVER
2011The invention relates to a marker vaccine for prophylactic treatment of classical swine fever comprising modified live attenuated classical swine fever virus. The viral amino acid sequence of the TAV-epitope of the E2 protein comprises a different sequence from that of a wild-type classical swine fever virus.

Immunological Markers of Cancer Vaccine Efficacy and their Clinical Relevance
Biomarkers in Medicine, 2009As the field of anticancer therapy advances, with a mission to either prevent tumors or improve the quality of life and survival of those affected by the disease, biomarker discovery in oncology is also growing. Since cancer therapy has become a type of personalized medicine, biomarkers are strongly needed in order to identify the right therapy for the

A live bovine herpesvirus-1 marker vaccine is not shed after intramuscular vaccination.
Berliner und Munchener tierarztliche Wochenschrift, 2008It should be established, whether animals vaccinated intramuscularly (IM) with a live Bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) marker vaccine become viremic and/or excrete vaccine virus with nasal discharge. Five cattle, seronegative for BHV-1, were vaccinated with an overdose of the vaccine (Bovilis IBR marker live) via the IM route.

Towards active vaccination against tumour endothelial marker Robo4
Abstract Targeting tumour antigens is a major challenge in cancer-immunotherapy. We use active vaccination to induce antibodies targeting self-antigen Robo4, which is selectively expressed on tumour vascular endothelium, supporting vascular development.Fernanda Escobar-Riquelme +9 more
