Automated MV markerless tumor tracking for VMAT

Physics in Medicine & Biology, 2020
Tumor tracking during radiotherapy treatment can improve dose accuracy, conformity and sparing of healthy tissue. Many methods have been introduced to tackle this challenge utilizing multiple imaging modalities, including a template matching based approach using the megavoltage (MV) on-board portal imager demonstrated on 3D conformal treatments ...

Markerless Motion Capture with unsynchronized moving cameras

2009 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2009
In this work we present an approach for markerless motion capture (MoCap) of articulated objects, which are recorded with multiple unsynchronized moving cameras. Instead of using fixed (and expensive) hardware synchronized cameras, this approach allows us to track people with off-the-shelf handheld video cameras.

Markerless three-dimensional tracking of masticatory movement

Journal of Biomechanics, 2016
Conventional methods for measuring mandibular movement are expensive and require headgear and a marker attached to the mandibular incisors. These make assessment of normal chewing difficult. The aim of the present study was to test the validity of a markerless three-dimensional system for tracking masticatory movement by comparing it with a ...

Towards markerless navigation for percutaneous needle insertions

International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery, 2015
Percutaneous needle insertions are increasingly used for diagnosis and treatment of abdominal lesions. The challenging part of computed tomography (CT)-guided punctures is the transfer of the insertion trajectory planned in the CT image to the patient. Conventionally, this often results in several needle repositionings and control CT scans.

Markerless Tracking for Augmented Reality

2011
Augmented Reality (AR) tries to seamlessly integrate virtual content into the real world of the user. Ideally, the virtual content would behave exactly like real objects. This requires a correct and precise estimation of the user’s viewpoint (respectively that of a camera) with respect to the coordinate system of the virtual content.

[DEMO] Markerless augmented reality solution for industrial manufacturing

2014 IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR), 2014
We present a comprehensive augmented reality solution to efficiently perform different verification pocedures during industrial assembly-line manufacturing using CAD data from product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. The demonstration focuses on a variety of industrial use-cases that have to go through different control processes, assisted by ...

Markerless Motion Capture using Multiple Cameras

Computer Vision for Interactive and Intelligent Environment (CVIIE'05), 2006
Motion capture has important applications in different areas such as biomechanics, computer animation, and human-computer interaction. Current motion capture methods use passive markers that are attached to different body parts of the subject and are therefore intrusive in nature.

Markerless reconstruction of dynamic facial expressions

2009 IEEE 12th International Conference on Computer Vision Workshops, ICCV Workshops, 2009
In this paper we combine methods from the field of computer vision with surface editing techniques to generate animated faces, which are all in full correspondence to each other. The input for our system are synchronized video streams from multiple cameras.

Virtual Lab Using Markerless Augmented Reality

2018 IEEE International Conference on Teaching, Assessment, and Learning for Engineering (TALE), 2018
Augmented Reality (AR) virtual labs have come forward as a solution to one of the long-prevalent problem of dangerous lab conditions, cost etc. However, marker-based AR virtual labs offer limited freedom to users. In this work-in-progress paper, a markerless AR virtual lab is presented.
