UV‐C Disinfection Robots: A Systematic Review

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 42, Issue 7, Page 3323-3347, October 2025.
ABSTRACT The use of ultraviolet (UV‐C) disinfection robots has become increasingly popular in diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, public transportation, and high‐traffic areas, especially following the COVID‐19 pandemic. These robots offer the potential to enhance disinfection efficiency and reduce human exposure to microorganisms. However,

Structural and Optical Properties of a 0D Lead Iodide Hybrid Perovskitoid with Aromatic Diammonium Cations

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 10, October 2025.
A new 0D hybrid lead iodide perovskitoid with 3‐(aminomethyl)pyridinium) (3AMPy) as organic cation is reported. Its orthorhombic crystal structure consists of isolated [PbI6]4− octahedra, giving rise to vibrational modes with preferential crystal orientation and birefringence.

The effect of intrauterine sensitilization on gilt (Sus scrofa domestica, Linnaeus, 1758) fertility

open access: yes, 1999

The Contribution of Deep Chlorophyll Maxima to Net Primary Production in the Southern Ocean

open access: yesGlobal Biogeochemical Cycles, Volume 39, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Deep chlorophyll maxima (DCMs) have long been studied in the northern hemisphere but have received less attention in the Southern Ocean. Their contribution to phytoplankton biomass and net primary productivity (NPP) is poorly resolved. Recently, the application of satellite NPP algorithms to biogeochemical (BGC)‐Argo float data has improved ...

Optimization in problems involving the p-Laplacian

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
We minimize the energy integral $int_Omega | abla u|^p,dx$, where $g$ is a bounded positive function that varies in a class of rearrangements, $p>1$, and $u$ is a solution of $$displaylines{ -Delta_p u=g quadhbox{in } Omegacr u=0quad hbox{on ...

BURGER: A Bottom‐Up Regionalization Approach for Global Sub‐Daily Intensity‐Duration‐Frequency Data

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Intensity‐Duration‐Frequency (IDF) curves require accurate observations which are not available everywhere. To provide globally consistent IDF maps, we harness the accuracy of Global Sub‐Daily Rainfall (GSDR) gauge observations and combine this with the power of a random forest regression model to regionalize the parameters of the SMEV ...

Bacterial Control of Metabolic Balance in the Sargasso Sea Near Bermuda: Insights From Data‐Assimilative Biogeochemical Modeling

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Heterotrophic marine bacteria are key players in the ocean carbon cycle. However, their exact contributions to net community production (NCP)—a crucial metric for the biological pump that indicates the metabolic balance and sets the upper limit for carbon export—remain unquantified due to limited bacterial integration in ocean biogeochemical ...
