Linking Riparian Vegetation Diversity and Seasonal Spectral Greenness in Temperate Atlantic Rivers

open access: yesJournal of Vegetation Science, Volume 37, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
This study assesses the relationship between six indicators of composition and functional diversity and two Sentinel‐2‐derived spectral indices in riparian forests from the Atlantic region. Biodiversity metrics exerted broadly significant positive effects on spectral greenness, with Gini–Simpson as the best predictor.
