Unlocking Terahertz Steganography: Authentication of Hidden Images in Flexible Media

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hidden information in multilayered devices, such as steganographic portraits, is detected and authenticated using reflection‐mode terahertz time‐domain imaging. Image reconstruction relies on a dedicated figure‐of‐merit obtained by integrating the signal intensity over the time‐window associated with the reflection from the metallic mirror backing the ...

Biodegradable and Edible Milli‐Fluidic Logic Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Fully biodegradable and edible fluidic circuits are developed using gelatin‐based valves that operate at low pressure. Logic gates, a one‐bit memory, and a ring oscillator are demonstrated, showing that biodegradable materials can perform computation and control.

Microscale 3D‐Printed Digital Strain Switches for Embedded Mechanical Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Microscale 3D‐printed strain switches on flexible films convert deformation into native digital signals at geometry defined thresholds. A closed form model predicts switching from 3000 to 15 000 microstrain and is validated across 110 devices. Reliable ohmic closure and strain activated AND, OR, and XOR logic point toward low‐power mechanical ...

Bioinspired Adaptive Artificial Cilia With Tunable Sensitivity and Dynamic Range for Airflow Monitoring in the Central Airway

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A magnetically reconfigurable airflow sensor integrated with an airway stent enables tunable sensitivity and dynamic sensing range. Airflow‐induced cantilever deformation generates resistance changes, while an external magnetic field modulates sensor stiffness, enhancing sensitivity at low airflow velocities and extending the sensing range at higher ...

Spectral Reconstruction Using Broadband Inkjet‐Printed Optical Filters

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A proof‐of‐concept for a reconstructive spectrometer based on inkjet‐printed interferometric optical filters is demonstrated. Through adaptive encoding and robust post‐processing algorithms, spectral reconstruction is achieved over a 400 nm visible bandwidth at a fraction of the cost and complexity of typical encoders while maintaining high optical ...

Micromachined Double‐Membrane Mechanically Tunable Metamaterial for Thermal Infrared Filtering

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Herein, a mechanically tunable double‐layer plasmonic metamaterial leveraging the extraordinary optical transmission effect observed in subwavelength arrays of openings within thin metal layers is presented. The concept is experimentally validated by integrating the proposed metamaterial structure into an electrostatic parallel‐plate actuator to create

Video Super-Resolution Transformer with Masked Inter&Intra-Frame Attention

open access: yes2024 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR)
Recently, Vision Transformer has achieved great success in recovering missing details in low-resolution sequences, i.e., the video super-resolution (VSR) task. Despite its superiority in VSR accuracy, the heavy computational burden as well as the large memory footprint hinder the deployment of Transformer-based VSR models on constrained devices.

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.
