Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Psychoacoustic Models for Perceptual Audio Coding—A Tutorial Review
Psychoacoustic models of human auditory perception have found an important application in the realm of perceptual audio coding, where exploiting the limitations of perception and removal of irrelevance is key to achieving a significant reduction in ...

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Full Field Masking Causes Reversals in Perceived Event Order
We generally experience a stable visual world in spite of regular disruptions caused by our own movements (saccades, blinks) or by the visual input itself (flashes, occlusions).

INVESTIGATING THE ROLES OF MECHANORECEPTIVE CHANNELS IN TACTILE APPARENT MOTION PERCEPTION: A VIBROTACTILE STUDY [PDF]
Tactile apparent motion (TAM) is a perceptual phenomenon in which consecutive presentation of multiple tactile stimuli creates an illusion of motion. Employing a novel tactile display device, the Latero, allowed us to investigate this.

Consistent Estimation of a Simple Linear Model Under Microaggregation [PDF]
A problem statistical offices are increasingly faced with is guaranteeing confidentiality when releasing microdata sets. One method to provide safe microdata to is to reduce the information content of a data set by means of masking procedures.
