Changes in segment mass and mass distribution during pregnancy

Journal of Biomechanics, 1996
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the rates of change in the estimated masses and principal moments of inertia of the body segments during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Fifteen subjects, on average 15.1 weeks pregnant, were tested monthly until term.

Study on Intrinsic Relationship between Coal Mass Change and Heat Evolution during Different Stages of Coal Spontaneous Combustion

, 2020
A good understanding of the intrinsic relationship between heat evolution and mass change induced by coal–oxygen oxidation reaction is critical for accurately predicting the behaviour of spontaneous combustion.

Annual mass change of the world's glaciers from 1976 to 2024 by temporal downscaling of satellite data with in situ observations

Earth System Science Data
. Glaciers, distinct from the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, play a crucial role in Earth's climate system by affecting global sea levels, regional freshwater availability, nutrient and energy budgets, and local geohazards.

Improved Quantification of Global Mean Ocean Mass Change Using GRACE Satellite Gravimetry Measurements

Geophysical Research Letters, 2019
Global mean ocean mass change derived from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) gravity solutions generally agrees well with ocean mass change inferred from satellite altimeter sea surface height and Argo floats observations during the ...

UNCHECKED CLIMATE CHANGE AND MASS MIGRATION:

2018
With unchecked emissions of pollutants, global warming is projected to increase to 1.5 0 C within 15 years; to 2 0 C within 35 years and 4 0 C by 2100.

Mass Terms, Count Nouns, and Change

Synthese, 1975
From early childhood we learn to distinguish compact, enduring things from the stuffs of which they are constituted. We count the former and measure the latter. We treat things as stable points of reference for action and experience; stuffs we think of as amorphous and protean.

Effective Mass and Color Change

Science, 1999
The cuprate superconductors exhibit a number of anomalies that distinguish them from conventional metals and superconductors. In their Perspective, Klein and Blumberg discuss results reported in the same issue by [ Basov et al .][1] in which optical measurements are used to examine the behavior of electrons in cuprates.

Mass Media and Social Change

1972
Abstract : The relationships between mass media of communication and social change are discussed, and the significance and roles of the mass media in developing and modernized countries are summarized. On the assumption that the contents of the mass media mirror as well as affect the perspectives and values of their readers, a content analysis of the ...
