Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

APPAREL MANUFACTURING AND MASS CUSTOMIZATION EXPERIENCE [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2018
This paper examines the manufacturing experience of clothing configuration within the mass customization approach. It is within this context that ‘mass individualism’ is examined; a phenomenon which in a climate of globalization can provide novel and ...

Further Empowering Variant Tables for Mass Customization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management, 2019
Tables are a standard form of data representation in business. A variant table lists valid or excluded combi- nations of product features where each table column refers to a product property and each table row denotes a combination of product features. A

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Determination of Customer Order Decoupling Point (CODP) Based on Mass Customization Concept to Minimize Manufacturing Lead Time

open access: yesOPSI, 2023
Make To Order (MTO) is a manufacturing strategy that executes different orders based on consumer demand. In the MTO strategy, products are produced only when there are orders from consumers. In this MTO system, the production process starts when an order

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...
