The universality of the virial halo mass function and models for non-universality of other halo definitions [PDF]
The abundance of galaxy clusters can constrain both the geometry and growth of structure in our Universe. However, this probe could be significantly complicated by recent claims of non-universality-non-trivial dependences with respect to the cosmological

α-Junctions of Categorical Mass Functions [PDF]
The set of $\alpha$-junctions is the set of linear associative and commutative combination operators for belief functions. Consequently, the properties of $\alpha$-junctive rules make them particularly attractive on a theoretic point of view. However, they are rarely used in practice except for the $\alpha=1$ case which corresponds to the widely used ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

JWST observations of 47 Tucanae
We present the first results of a series of studies based on James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) observations of the globular cluster (GC) 47 Tucanae (47 Tuc, or NGC 104) obtained with the Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam).

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Context. The red giant branch bump (RGB bump) is a key diagnostic of an internal stellar structure, yet the impact of stellar rotation– which is a fundamental parameter altering chemical stratification–on its luminosity, amplitude, and morphology remains

Baryon impact on the halo mass function: Fitting formulae and implications for cluster cosmology [PDF]
We use a set of hydrodynamical and dark matter-only (DMonly) simulations to calibrate the halo mass function (HMF). We explore the impact of baryons, propose an improved parametrization for spherical overdensity masses, and identify differences between ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

We present a ‘multiple-pass’ data-reduction tool designed for Euclid, based on software developed for the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), which improves the astrometric and photometric precision for faint sources and in crowded fields.
