Mass Loss Rates of Fasting Polar Bears
Physiological and Biochemical Zoology, 2016Polar bears (Ursus maritimus) have adapted to an annual cyclic regime of feeding and fasting, which is extreme in seasonal sea ice regions of the Arctic. As a consequence of climate change, sea ice breakup has become earlier and the duration of the open-water period through which polar bears must rely on fat reserves has increased.

The calculation of Afρ and mass loss rate for comets
Icarus, 2012Abstract Ab initio calculations of Afρ are presented using Mie scattering theory and a Direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) dust outflow model in support of the Rosetta mission and its target 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko (CG). These calculations are performed for particle sizes ranging from 0.010 μm to 1.0 cm.

Mass-Loss Rate for MF Resin Microspheres
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2004This paper deals with the influence of experimental conditions on properties of melamine formaldehyde resin particles. Motivation for this study was the fact that many laboratories and experimenters use these particles as samples for dust plasma investigations.
