Wilson ratio in Yb-substituted CeCoIn5
We have investigated the effect of Yb substitution on the Pauli limited, heavy fermion superconductor, CeCoIn$_5$. Yb acts as a non-magnetic divalent substituent for Ce throughout the entire doping range, equivalent to hole doping on the rare earth site.

The motion of a plate in a rotating fluid at an arbitrary angle of attack [PDF]
Slow motion of a thin plate at a finite angle of attack in a rotating container filled with a viscous incompressible fluid is analysed. The Rossby and Ekman numbers are assumed to be small.

Protein Sequencing with an Adaptive Genetic Algorithm from Tandem Mass Spectrometry
In Proteomics, only the de novo peptide sequencing approach allows a partial amino acid sequence of a peptide to be found from a MS/MS spectrum. In this article a preliminary work is presented to discover a complete protein sequence from spectral data ...

Flexural fluctuations of the rotors of knife refiners [PDF]
The subject of the study is the flexural fluctuations of the rotors of knife refiners. The dynamic and mathematical models of rotors of disk mills are developed. As a result of research, a method for vibration calculation of rotors is proposed and tested.

Horizon Tunneling Revisited: The Case of Higher Dimensional Black Holes
We study the tunneling of massless scalars across black hole horizons in any number of spacetime dimensions greater than three. Our analysis finds that corrections due to backreaction and the inverse dimensional expansion are naturally concomitant, and ...

A possible practical definition for a Hund's metal is given, as a metallic phase - arising consistently in realistic simulations and experiments in Fe-based superconductors and other materials - with three features: large electron masses, high-spin local

Effective Width of Floor Systems for Application in Seismic Analysis [PDF]
Effective width coefficients for floor systems have been developed for use in the analysis of frames subjected to lateral seismic loads. The results cover a wide range of the governing nondimensional parameters, and are applicable to floor slabs with ...
