Situational Awareness in Autonomous Shipping – Ship Domain in Remote MASS Operation [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav
The introduction of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) in maritime transport creates new challenges that did not previously exist in the case of manned ships, and changes the approach to voyage planning, implementation and monitoring.

Time fractional analysis of generalized Casson fluid flow by YAC operator with the effects of slip wall, and chemical reaction in a porous medium

open access: yesInternational Journal of Thermofluids, 2023
The key aim of the present work is to apply the Yang-Abdel-Cattani operator of fractional order derivative with Rabotnov exponential kernel to the mass-heat transfer of the generalized Casson fluid with generalized Fick's and Fourier's laws.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

On the spectrum of the Schrödinger operator for a three-particle system on a lattice

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки
A three-particle discrete Schrödinger operator Hµ,γ(K) :≡ Hµ,γ(K), K = (K, K, K) ∈ 𝕋3 , which is associated with a system of three particles (two fermions of mass 1 and one other particle of mass m = 1/γ ,) interacting via pairwise repulsive contact ...

Lepton number violating operators with standard model gauge fields: a survey of neutrino masses from 3-loops and their link to dark matter

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We investigate neutrino mass generation scenarios where the lepton number breaking new physics does not interact with Standard Model (SM) quarks and couples only to the SM right-handed charged lepton chirality.

Removal of instabilities of the higher derivative theories in the light of antilinearity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
Theories with higher derivatives involve linear instabilities in the Hamiltonian commonly known as Ostrogradski ghosts and can be viewed as a very serious problem during quantization.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Topological Susceptibility in Nf = 2 QCD at Finite Temperature

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
We study the topological charge in Nf = 2 QCD at finite temperature using Möbius domain-wall fermions. The susceptibility Xt of the topological charge defined either by the index of overlap Dirac operator or a gluonic operator is investigated at several ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Solving the Boltzmann equation deterministically by the fast spectral method : application to gas microflows

open access: yes, 2014
Based on the fast spectral approximation to the Boltzmann collision operator, we present an accurate and efficient deterministic numerical method for solving the Boltzmann equation.
