This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Propagation and deposition of stony debris flows at channel confluences [PDF]
The fluid dynamics of stony debris flows generated in two small tributaries adjacent to each other and flowing into a main receiving channel was analyzed experimentally at a laboratory scale.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

An efficient way to precisely pattern particles on solid surfaces is to dispense and evaporate colloidal drops, as for bioassays. The dried deposits often exhibit complex structures exemplified by the coffee ring pattern, where most particles have ...

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

A common approach to test electrocatalyst nanoparticles (NPs) for electrolyzers and fuel cells is to deposit catalyst particles (e.g., Pt/carbon) onto standard disk electrodes (e.g., glassy carbon) by making use of inks based on binders (ionomers such as

A Channel Network Model for Sediment Dynamics Over Watershed Management Time Scales
A mountain watershed network model is presented for use in decadal to centurial estimation of source‐to‐sink sediment dynamics. The model requires limited input parameters and can be effectively applied over spatial scales relevant to management of ...

Effect of Shell Thickness on Electron and Hole Transmission Probabilities of a ZnSe/ZnS Core- Shell Quantum Dot [PDF]
In this paper we report the effect of shell thickness on transmission probabilities of electrons and holes in the strained configuration of zinc-selenide/zinc-sulphide (ZnSe/ZnS) core-shell quantum dot.
