Quantitative determination of the elemental composition of metals and other solids by glow discharge mass spectrometry requires a calibration factor for each element. In past work, these factors, called relative ion yields (RIYs), have been determined experimentally from the mass spectra of standards of certified composition.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
