[Management of massive hemoptysis].

Massive hemoptyses are serious clinical conditions that can quickly jeopardize the vital prognosis. The major risk is asphyxiation, due to the bleeding into the tracheobronchial tree. The clinician should provide in parallel support for diagnosis and treatment, locating the bleeding but also finding its cause.

[Massive hemoptysis during sarcoidosis].

Hemoptysis is a rare but often severe event in sarcoidosis. It usually occurs in patients with advanced, fibrotic lung disease. We herein report the case of a 36-year old female patient with type II pulmonary sarcoidosis who presented with abundant hemoptysis very early during the course of her disease.
