Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Temperature and Speed Corrections for TSD-Measured Deflection Slopes Using 3D Finite Element Simulations

open access: yesInfrastructures
Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) measures deflection velocities, normalised by travel speed to obtain deflection slopes. Pavement temperature and travel speed can significantly affect deflection slopes.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Two Origins for Bell-Shaped Velocity-Dependent Friction Coefficient: Kelvin-Voigt or Standard Linear Solid Viscoelasticity

open access: yesTribology Online
It is well known that the friction coefficient of viscoelastic solids against the drive speed exhibits a bell shape. In previous theoretical studies on viscoelastic friction, we can find two origins for the bell shape. One is due to the material response

New prediction technique of master curve of rubber material from the data by dynamic mechanical analyzer

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2016
A new prediction technique of master curve from limited data measured under temperature variance and constant frequency in a dynamic measurement tester has been proposed.
